Description
They say I will die the same way my parents did.
So I stayed hidden for two years—quiet, invisible, alive.
Until the man I loved shattered everything.
My boyfriend married his best friend on the day meant to be ours, leaving me standing in a pink lehenga, burning with humiliation and rage.
I had only one place left to go.
Straight into the arms of his greatest enemy.
Achyut Suryawanshi needed a wife.
I needed a husband.
What we made was a deal forged in vengeance.
They say Achyut Suryawanshi killed a man at sixteen. A royal billionaire with blood on his hands—and the power to walk away untouched. I should have feared him.
Instead, I married him.
And that decision may be the one that finally kills me.

Such a good read. I got so invested in it. Loved the plot. Loved the strong characters and especially the character of achut which was complex but written so well.

A Love That Grows, Not Rushes
Deducting a star as it needs to be proofread. Achyut and Kanika’s story was truly wholesome. I loved how it didn’t rush into love-at-first-sight or make things unrealistically easy. Even the contract wasn’t signed effortlessly—Kanika stood her ground, and Achyut didn’t just agree without thought, which made their dynamic feel so real. What stood out most was the emotional depth. Achyut being emotionally available, and how life slowly gains color once Kanika enters it, was beautifully written. It wasn’t Kanika who “fixed” him—instead, Achyut consciously chose to become the best companion he could be for her. That distinction mattered a lot.I also adored how Achyut never wanted his love to become a burden. When he realizes his feelings, he doesn’t force them on Kanika. He gives her freedom, safety, and protection—things no one else had truly allowed her before. That quiet, respectful love was everything. And can we talk about the paint scene? Because WOW—so hot 👀🔥Vidyut being everyone’s favorite is completely deserved 🫶 and Achyut confusing Vidyut was such a fun touch. I never expected to enjoy the Achyut–Vihaan bond as much as I did—at moments, it genuinely rivaled Yuvaan and Achyut’s bond.As always, Rooh, Vihaan, and Arya were pure sunshine, making outsiders feel instantly welcome into the Suryawanshi family. I would have loved a glimpse of Achyut and Yuvaan’s sibling bond too, but I guess that’s something to look forward to in Yuvaan’s book. And the endearments he uses for Kanika—Lily and anima mia—were such a soft yet powerful touch 💅. They felt intimate, personal, and perfectly Achyut. Little details like these made their bond feel even more special and memorable. Now, I’m eagerly waiting for Vihaan’s book !

Enjoyed reading it but why did it end so early, I mean I was so invested. Waiting for other books too.

Good
The plot and story was good. But while reading I felt like inbetween flow is missing like some part of story which should have been there has been not there.

Confusing Plot with unnecessary twists, and over drama
The plot seemed unplanned, with sudden appearances of nicknames, too much suspense and drama, no explanation of why and what things are the way they are, no linking to the past and present. The story seemed to be written by AI and hasn’t even been proofread at all.
