For lovers of clasic literary short stories, this book is like a collector’s item, containing masterpiece after masterpiece collated together in one package. It’s a long book and takes a while to complete, but well worth the finish. Treasure it.

A very diverse and very entertaining collection of short stories that were written by some very famous authors and some by not so famous authors.

Really am enjoying the short stories. Of course “50 Greatest” is very subjective. Most/many of these are classics, written at least 50 years ago and many written well over 100 year.”s ago. So a better title would be “50 Greatest Short Stories from the 19th Century

The omnibus has several stories of various genres and each is better than the other. I highly recommend the book.
